Pain Pain Pain!
Low back pain is the most common pain among adults… from sitting at work, to sitting in your car, to picking up your kids, there can be multiple causes that lead to your back pain. So, the question is, how do you ease the pain? We are here to give you a few tips and tricks!
- Get up and move! Our spines are like the rest of our body and they are meant to move! Whether you are getting up to walk the dog, wash the dishes, make your bed, get up and move your body every hour!
- Strengthen your core and hips! Doing bodyweight exercises to strengthen these muscle groups can support your back and maintain the proper alignment or posture of your body. Some exercises include plank, deadlifts, and squats.
- Stretch! A huge cause of back pain is tight hip flexors. This happens from sitting all day at work, at home, and in the car. Because we sit in a forward position, it is important to stand up and stretch backwards. (Quad stretch, Childs pose, cobra pose are all great options!)
