Stevia V Sucralose? Whats the difference?

Sucralose vs. Stevia

Yes, both are zero-calorie sweeteners with a sweet taste, but where does the difference come in? Is one REALLY better for you than the other?

We are here to answer your questions! Sucralose comes from actual sugar. Crazy right? It’s derived from sugar and compounded by replacing three hydrogen-oxide groups with three chlorine atoms. Stevia is derived from an actual plant. The stevia leaf goes through extraction to get a pure form of the sweetener itself.

While sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar, stevia ranges from 200-350 times sweeter than sugar. Both sweeteners are FDA approved and used in many products!

Both ingredients are great for adding that sweet flavor to anything without the calories or extra sugar content! Of course, everything should be consumed in moderation, but both can be used in place of your sugar!
