5 Tips To Get Fit And Achieve The Dream Body You’ve Always Wanted!


1. Watching your calorie and macronutrient intake.

Of course it all starts with the food you eat right? You’ve heard it all before you are what you eat calories in and calories out etc. The truth is if you’re trying to lose weight you need to be ima. Caloric deficit which means eating less than you are burning each day, and if you want gain muscle you need to be in a caloric surplus which means eating more than you are burning each day while lifting/ working out with intensity. Depending on your goal you would fit one of these 2 profiles and work towards your goal. Calories aren’t the only thing you need to keep track of you would still need to be keeping an eye on your macronutrient intake which is how many grams of carbs, fat, and protein you should be taking in daily. The perfect combination of calorie intake with the right macronutrients will lead you to the body and look you are aiming for.


2. My fitness Pal or any app that will help you count your calorie and macronutrient intake will work wonders for you!

Ok so now that you know where your baseline is and what goal you want to obtain you want to execute it and be disciplined of course. The easiest way to do so is by using an app to help you keep track of your calories and macronutrients there are tons out there we recommend using my fitness pal as it helps you keep track of everything and is fairly simple to use. You might be thinking “wow I don’t want to keep track of my calories that’s a lot of work.” Well, let me tell you it’s VERY VERY easy. Once you put what you eat in once it saves it so then it becomes a way of living for you. The Bottom line and truth is without doing so you won’t be able to achieve the body you want and be able to look and stay fit without doing so accurately. You will be guessing at what you are trying to achieve but at least but starting these steps it will give you baseline of how your body works.


3. Staying active and working out is important! Funny enough not as important as the food you eat 😉

The best part of this is you don’t have to kill yourself in the gym if you have your calorie and food intake down. The gym is the easy part! We have 2 rules. rule number 1 is hit 10k steps per day to make sure that you are staying active. Research shows that staying for and lean is easier to accomplish for someone who is active during their day as opposed to someone who is sedentary so hitting 10k steps a day is important as you start to kickstart your metabolism even if you want to gain muscle it’s important to stay actively working out and strength training so that you can achieve the 3D muscular look that you want. You don’t have to kill yourself doing an hour of cardio if you are eating right, hitting your 10k steps and working out 4-5 days a week. If you are looking to hike muscle you will need to be focusing more on strength isolation training which means training muscle groups separate. If you want to lose weight focus on full body movements and doing some light cardio (20min) 4-5 days a week. This is a great start for you to start seeing how your body adjusts and works week by week.

4. Progress pics and food choices.

Progress pictures are so important for your accountability. You should take 1 picture every week front view side vie and back view and document your weight as you go along your journey. Aside from progress pictures the foods you will tend to be eating should be very consistent. That doesn’t mean you won’t have options here are actually tons of options you just want to have a baseline of foods so when you go to the grocery store you know what your go to foods are to stay on track with your macronutrients. Below is a mini check list of different options you can have for your foods. There are plenty more choices out there these are just a baseline to start:

HIGH PROTEIN MEATS

  • Chicken breast

  • 98% fat free ground turkey

  • 98% fat free ground chicken

  • 93% Fat free ground beef

  • Sirloin steak

  • Salmon

  • Shrimp

Carbs

  • Rice (white or Brown doesn’t matter)

  • Veggies (broccoli/ cauliflower rice/ spinach/zucchini/ bell pepper)

  • Fruits (try and stick to berries if calorie deficit low in grams)

  • Bread (mainly for calorie surplus)

  • Rice cakes

  • Potatoes (mainly for calorie surplus)

    Fats

  • Pistachios

  • Almonds

  • Peanut butter

  • Avocado

Protein (non meats)

  • Greek Yogurt fat-free (unflavored preferably)

  • Cottage cheese (beware of fat)

  • Tofu (good vegan option)

  • Beyond meats (good vegan option)
